What is the difference between the Down and Out Standard Swivel and Lite mount?
The Lite is a simpler version of our Down and Out Standard Swivel mount. The differences are;
- Weight Capacity: 15 to 70 lbs for the Lite, 20 to 125 lbs for the Standard.
- Install: The Standard has post install leveling and the easy install frame, Lite does not.
- Tilt in Top Position: The Lite will be tilted down about 6.5 degrees, the tilt on the standard can be adjusted from 7 degrees to vertical.
- Covers: The Standard has plastic covers which hide the frame, the Lite has knockout slots which keeps the slots hidden.
- Travel: the Standard can travel up to 32″ down with no shelf, the Lite can travel up to 29″ with no shelf, Travel around shelves are about the same for both of them.
- Swivel: The Standard has different swivel settings so you can get the best swivel for your setup, the Lite does not.
- Thickness: The Standard is closer to the wall in the top position than the Lite.

Can the mount be installed on brick or stone?
The same is true when installing the mount on your brick or stone surface; it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the brick/stone structure is strong enough to support the TV. We recommend special brick/concrete anchors (example: http://www.mcmaster.com/#brick-anchors/=llbka0 ).
We recommend you use ½″ Diameter with threads of 3/8″-16 and head width of 9/16″. Be sure to use a washer with an OD of 1″. Be sure to use a proper ½ “drill bit for masonry surfaces. Be sure to drill to the proper depth of the lag bolt, or alternatively, you can use a high strength toggle anchor (example: http://www.mcmaster.com/#97802a317/=vslqia). We suggest using at least 3 of these in the top row; these anchors are the ones that do most of the work.
To drill into the stone/brick you will probably need a special drill called a hammer drill, which you can rent from the hardware store along with the correct size bit. Using the hammer drill is just as easy as using a regular drill. After you have the hammer drill and anchors installed you can follow the same instructions for wood stud mounting.
